So as a 16 year old male driver, I'm aware that car insurance rates for me are significantly higher than a same age female driver, just because of my gender. How are insurance companies able to do this, no matter how many statistics they have saying we crash more, speed more often, ect...? This is discrimination vs. my gender, and for all they know I could drive like a granny. Now consider this: if statistics showed that blacks were twice as likely to crash than whites, could insurance companies charge more? No way! The NAACP would be all over them. That would be unfair to the black drivers that may drive safe. I just dont get why I am charged way more than what a girl gets charged, even though I am a very safe driver.

I live in North Carolina and my Dad lives in Texas. I am going to college close to my mother who current ly insures me. I am not going to have a car for probably 2-3 years, and will literally never drive my moms car when I am at home, but my mom is paying a large amount of money to be on her plan. The insurance people said that you have to be more than 100 miles away from her to be taken off because there is resonable doubt I would drive. I would discourage anyone from using Electric Insurance (EI). EI is a small company with a VERY LOW risk threshold. I had EI homeowners and auto insurance for over 18 years. In all that time, I had one claim filed against me for less $2,500 when my 6 lb doggie gave the lawn guy a bite. EI would not renew my homeowners policy and waited 45 days before it expired to tell me. Months earlier, the claims adjuster assured me my policy would not be dropped for such a small claim of this type. Dont take a chance with EI

Should Teens Have To Wait Till 18 To Get A Drivers License?

I look at it this way. I almost if not all states, you have to be 18 to enter into a binding contract. So basically that means my son can't borrow $500 from the bank, but can be responsible for a 3,000+ Lbs. of steel on wheels. I just don't see why driving is the exception to the rule. In my state, a person over 70 has to take a written test.. The same given to new drivers, one time before they get a license. So does anyone agree with this? Or if you don't, why?

The section of highway I was driving on was 2 lanes wide and straight for a mile. Traffic traveling the opposite direction was separated by about 100 feet of grass. The tail end of my car began to slide out to the right and I was unable to correct this due to the terrible conditions of the road. Hello, question. If I have health insurance now, find out I have a condition, then get a different job and change health insurance, am I in the pre-existing condition status with the new insurance? My insurance lapse a month ago today.I am waiting on my workers comp settlement from a job related injury.Is there a way that cops can detect that my insurance has lapsed other than an accident?I have and legit insurance card till June,and registration.Can they suspend my registration?if so is there a warning?I will try to stay off the road till next month but i need to make my Dr.appointments etc.

My sister who recently passed her driving test would like to buy a car, problem is car insurance quote comes up to 3000, which is too much! So i was thinking to get the insurance in my name, and put her down as secondary driver. I already have another car, where i am also primary driver. If she crashed her car, would this get flagged up under my insurance, although she crashed it....i dont want to pay high insurance for the rest of my life for her mistake or would it come under her record??

My and my wife are both insured on our car (Fully Comp.) and we are now about to get another car due to our work situation. Would the following method be the most cost-effective way for us both to be covered ? 1) For me to be fully insured for one car and my wife fully insured for the other, allowing us both to drive each other's car if necessary ? Since my school work-study wait listed me I'm looking for other jobs but I can only do part time or I know I'll be too stressed plus my adviser told me to go only part-time except during summer. I just want to know ahead of time will I be required to get health insurance? I'm already covered on my mom's insurance and it's really good. I'd rather stay with hers. Right now I am insured with Allstate. I am under an Allstate plan called the gold protection plan in which I will be eligible for a new car if there is an accident.
